Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The primary aim of this class is to train your skills in approaching and handling texts. You should thereby become more conscious of your own use of (written) language but also judge texts produced by others and develop your analytical skills.
You will work on tasks very similar to real life jobs and develop some important professional techniques. Texts cover a variety of different subjects enabling you to enlarge your passive and active vocabulary.

Examination topics
Students will complete four assignments in the course of the term. These will involve extracting information from texts provided and presenting it in another form (as a summary, a public announcement, or a textual analysis).
