Characteristics of and difficulties associated with spoken texts, development of strategies to improve listening comprehension and the production of written texts based on spoken texts, formats of spoken texts and written texts based on these

Assessment and permitted materials

Participation in class and online activities, two written tests (mid-term and end-of-term), completion of written assignments (semester portfolio)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Improved listening comprehension, adrquate text production, language and research skills

Examination topics

Active listening, note-taking, summarising, paraphrasing
