Aims, contents and method of the course
Media history, theory and psychology; perception and interpretation of information in the mass media; customers' needs; entertainment industry.
Assessment and permitted materials
Attendance and participation in class, homework assignment, final test.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Perception and correct interpretation of information in the media; developing methods for the effective use of language and style in the media.
Examination topics
Based on various communication concepts and selected examples from the media, problems of perception/interpretation/processing of information shall be discussed in order to develop adequate methods and solutions. Individual assignment: advertising folder; group work: research on and presentation of selected chapters of media history.
