Aims, contents and method of the course

In this course, selected texts from the arts & humanities will be studied in the context of a given translation task and translated between Chinese and German. This would include sharing and reflecting on one's own work in the form of presentations, discussions of terminology and research techniques, and explorations of alternative translations in light of scopos-theoretical concerns.

本课程选用以中文和德语作为源语言和目标语言的文科文本，针对特定翻译任务，进行双向翻译。我们将探讨对术语的处理和使用，并在功能翻译理论的基础上讨论翻译技巧和策略。本课程旨在通过对学生译文的讨论和讲评，帮助学生扩展语言能力并提高翻译技能。

Hausübungen, aktive Mitarbeit und zwei Tests

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Entwicklung des Bewusstseins für Verständlichkeit als Textqualität im Rahmen der Fachübersetzung. Kennenlernen der kulturspezifischen Vertextungskonventionen. Einüben des sprachlichen Umgangs mit Kulturunterschieden.

Gewichtung der Teilleistungen:
Mitarbeit: 20%, Zwischentest: 40%, Endtest: 40%.

Notenschlüssel:
1: 90%-100%
2: 80%-89%
3: 70%-79%
4: 60%-69%
5: unter 60%
