Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Identification and interpretation of information in various text types/texts; background information; language level and style; problems in the linguistic/cultural transfer of text information.
Assessment and permitted materials
Attendance and participation in class, portfolio, final test.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Identifying and processing information for specific assignments; correct handling of language and style; extension of active vocabulary.
Examination topics
Based on selected texts (mainly science, literature and the media), texts will be processed and/or created for various purposes and specific assignments; step-by-step preparation in class; individual and group work.
Reading list
"Translatorische Methodik" von Kadric/Kaindl/Kaiser-Cooke wird als bekannt vorausgesetzt. Weiterführende Literatur wird bekannt gegeben.
