This is a condensed course, which will take place from June 6 to June 27.Please note that the nature of this course makes certain preparations on your part necessary: You are required to have completed the mandatory reading before the first meeting (see also "reading list"), and to have prepared your presentation (see "presentations").

Aims, contents and method of the course
Identifying and assessing text information; background information and research according to assignments; appropriate language registers, style and rhetorical devices for text production and revision; writing for specific target audiences.
Assessment and permitted materials
Attendance and participation in class; 2 tests; 1 writing assignment
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Identifying and processing of information according to specific assignments; appropriate language registers and style in different kinds of texts; text revision; vocabulary work; target group-specific writing.
Examination topics
Production/revision of texts (mainly media, science, culture); preparation of work steps in class, text production in class or at home individually or in groups.
