Die Durchführung im Sommersemester 2022 erfolgt im Präsenzmodus. Aus didaktischen Gründen ist geplant, dass die 3. und die 6. LV-Einheit online stattfinden. Es ist aber kein hybrider Unterricht vorgesehen.

The objectives of this course are to teach students how to quickly grasp essential information, how to work with different types of text or speech, and the importance of constantly improving all their working languages. Students will learn about the different requirements for interpreters and translators and explore their own strengths and weaknesses.
Clozing, paraphrasing, memory exercises, sight translation, written translations, holding and interpreting short speeches in class and in study groups (with logs), use of note-taking technique acquired in 'VO Introduction to Interpreting', discussion of conflicts that can arise in interpreting or translation, peer feedback and self-evaluation.
