On Wednesday, March 13th, at 4:00 PM, there will be a mandatory preliminary meeting at the Kraftlabor, USZ I. Subsequent sessions will be scheduled on an individual basis with student groups


Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In this research seminar, students will produce a series of videos demonstrating the execution, evaluation and interpretation of different (both lab- und field-based) tests of physical performance, coordinative skills, anthropometric characteristics or imaging-based measurements. The students' tasks will be to:

- Research the scientific literature on the validity, reliability and objectivity of assigned tests
- Produce the videos
- Write a brief lab report as accompanying document

The entire completion of tasks by students must take place by the following April 30th for courses with continous assessment in the winter semester, and by September 30th at the latest for those in the summer semester. Students who did not sign out from the course are to be assessed. In the case of a negative assessment, an examination before a committee is not permitted; the course must be repeated. Legal source: Statutes of the University of Vienna §10 (4, 5, 6).

You are explicitly informed that if a result was obtained by fraudulent means (e.g. copying, plagiarism, use of unauthorized aids, forgeries, ghostwriting, etc.), the entire PI-LV is considered cheated and counts as a trial. (Entry in U: SPACE: X = not assessed).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

To pass the seminar, all tasks must be successfully completed. Grading key:

Fail (5): <60%
Sufficient (4): 60-70%
Satisfactory (3): 71-80%
Good (2): 81-90%
Very good (1): 91-100%
