Die Lehrveranstaltung setzt sich aus teilweise geblockten Übungsteilen am und außerhalb des Instituts sowie einer 1. verpflichtenden Einheit am Institut zusammen. Die genauen Modalitäten werden in der 1. Einheit erläutert. Diese ist auch für Studierende auf der Warteliste verpflichtend!

Aims, contents and method of the course

- Presentation and short history of Roller Sports;
- Skating Basics: equipment and organization:
- Skating Basics: technique and help;
- Exercises and games: basic and advanced;
- Outdoor classes and creativity;
- Skating classes preparation;
- Speed Skating;
- Artistic Skating and Roller Derby;
- Inline Hockey;
- Skateboarding and Freestyle;

Assessment and permitted materials

(40%) The continuous evaluation will take place during all semester and it will be composed by small tasks, such as small questions or quiz, to be posted on moodle.

(60%) The final evaluation will take place on the 3 last classes of the semester and will be divided in two moments:
- Elaboration of a class plan and teaching it (to the colleagues)
- Elaboration of a class plan and teaching it (to kids)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

- By the end of this course. the students should
- know how to set up a skating class, its security and organization procedures.
- be able to plan a structured class;
- be able to demonstrate the exercises for the class;
- know how to help and correct the students during the Skating classes;
- know the basic rules of the different Roller Sports;
- be able to adapt their classes/exercises for different skills, needs and environments.

Examination topics

- Practical activities;
- Quiz and online Tasks (moodle);
- Theoretical and practical evaluation.
