Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
The participants will take a 45 minute-written examination over
the content of the lecture. The achievement of at least half of the possible points will earn the participant the score of Genügend (Adequate) to Sehr Gut (Very good).
The participants will be asked to share their detailed and
established opinions about the topics discussed during the
lecture component of the course. There may also be exercises
assigned, calling for the participants to help in addressing and
solving problems regarding sport ethics in case-by-case
scenarios, with the application of the theories discussed
throughout the course.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Sports students and other participants should gain a sense of
sensibility and qualification when judging a point of view about
formal and informal fairness within competitive sports as well as sports systems. Along with this, participants should also
contribute their own input towards the achievement of a more humane atmosphere within elite sports and their corresponding sport organizations and sport unions, and as teachers for sports in school and as trainers.

Examination topics
Lecture, discussion and review, visits from specialists who have experience with the problems found within sport ethics, like fraud, doping, ethic dilemmas in elite sports, as well as the coaching and guidance of young elite athletes and so on.

ethics of sports analyzes in regards to standard and applied
ethics of problems found within the morality of competitive
sports. The crisis phenomena found within today’s elite
sports, like violence, cheating, doping, system analysis in any
sports organizations, etc. will also be discussed.
Famous sporting events like the Olympics and Paralympic
Games, along with the Football World and European Cup will
be analyzed in detail.
