Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Aim of the course is
- to give the students a basic overview of the different models of health and health behaviour
for children and teenagers
- to impart the students with behaviouristic and situational intervention models of health
promotion and to provide the students with the possibility to implement them in teaching
- to acquire knowledge about health projects at school and to address their implementability
- to differentiate development, age and gender specific health topics
- to show that health promotion at school does not only comprise information about health
related topics and the impact on the behaviour of the individual, but it aslo aims at the
design of a health promoting setting.

Examination topics
Students shall be confronted with current specialised literature and models of health promotion and should get the skills to be able to acquire health related knowledge. Apart from that students should implement the WHO definition (Ottawa Charta) of health as well as health related curricula content holistically and reflect their teaching in feedback sessions.
