The first meeting is on Wed 04.03.2020, 14:00, in the Sport Psychology Lab (USZ II, Zi. 1.13). Further time schedule will be set up there.
Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This seminar is compulsory for students who want to start their master thesis in sport psychology in SS 2020. Students will develop a research question based on the state-of-the-art in sport psychology. They will learn to address the question, formulate hypotheses, conduct an empirical study, analyze data, and present the results. The aim of the seminar is to help complete the thesis and prepare for master exam.
Assessment and permitted materials
Regular and continuous participation, presentation of own work, and accomplishment of work packages related to master thesis. Presentation and discussion of master theses including hypotheses, design, and methods (i.e. research project), or – if available – data analysis and results (i.e. research outcomes). The presentations should be in English.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Attendance, presentation, and active participation in discussion.
Examination topics
Theoretical background of the master thesis. Literature search has to be performed by each student individually.
