Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
1. Regular attendance (absenteeism max. three units)
2. Active participation and co-operation during the course
3. Short presentation of the research results
4. Turn-in of Elearning assignments in due time
5. Written exam: statistical methods – how to choose the right method, pre-requisites,interpretation of SPSS outputs, calculations): 25/01/2011.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
* Design and implementation of an own research projekt (research design, data collection and analysis, presentation of results)
* Practise and improve SPSS-basics
* Where required, use of MS Excel
Examination topics
* Theoretical input, working in small groups & discussions
* Practise on the PC (data analysis using SPSS, where required MS Excel)
* Data collection, data analysis & presentation of results individually or in groups
* ELearning assignments
