Aims, contents and method of the course

- Fundamentals of empirical social research and questionnaire design- Getting to know quantitative survey and evaluation methods- Basics of data analysis: descriptive statistics and inferential statistics- Knowledge of problem-adequate selection of statistical methods- Introduction to the statistics software SPSSMethods:- Lectures- Practical exercises in SPSS- home exercises + videos with solutions

Assessment and permitted materials

The overall grade (100%) consists of three partial performances:- Active participation (20%) - Homework (40%)- Final test in SPSS (40%)Students must reach a positive grade in each partial performance, in order to pass the course (50% pass mark).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

- 75 % presence + active course participation- timely and complete submission of homework- Positive completion of the final exam
