Aims, contents and method of the course

Goals:
-) Secure application of quantitative methods in empirical research
-) Capability to interpret statistical measures in sport scientific articles
-) Ability to autonomously analyse and show empirical data
Content:
-) Statistics software SPSS
-) Statistical procedures (descriptive analyses, interferential statistics, correlation/regression)
-) Statistical methods within the research process (study planning, analyses and interpretation)
Methods:
-) autonomous and instructed work at the PC

Assessment and permitted materials

Homeworks, interim tests, final test

-) Homeworks (20% of the grade) - independent work
-) theoretical knowledge (20% of the grade) - group work
-) final test (60% of the grade) - independent work

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Participation at the final test and a minimum of 50 points (10 + 10 + 30 from individual tasks) represent the minimal requirements.
The attendence at 75% of the lectures is obligatory.
