Aims, contents and method of the course

Characteristics

Learning the theoretical and practical basic skills of Beachvolleyball under the principle of learn through play. Development of technical-tactical and didactical-methodical knowledge and skills. The students get knowledge of the basic methodical and didactical placement paths and how to teach pupils with different skill levels, under different material preconditions. Get known of the common tournament-modes and the analysis of a competitive game.

Objectives and content of the course

Learning the methodical didactic ways to teach beachvolleyballspecific skills
Teaching basic individual and group tactical actions
History of Beachvolleyball and most important rules
Tournament forms for Beachvolleyball and analysis of a competitive game
Adaptation to different skill levels and emphasizing the social skills of the game

Assessment and permitted materials

Review criteria

Regular active participation (75 percent)
Conducting self-prepared lesson parts
Ability of demonstrating the basic techniques
Understanding of tactical systems
Creation of one lessen protocol
Sport practical and written examination
Analysis of a competitive game (Austrian Beachvolleyball tour)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Transfer of expertise

Knowledge of the methodical didactic ways to teach beachvolleyballspecific skills
Knowledge of most important rules
Ability to show and teach basic technical and tactical elements
Employability and adjustment to different needs and skill levels

Didactic implementation

Theoretical preparation of practical contents
