Aims, contents and method of the course

- Fundamentals of empirical social research and questionnaire design
- Getting to know quantitative survey and evaluation methods
- Basics of data analysis: descriptive statistics and inferential statistics
- Knowledge of problem-adequate selection of statistical methods
- Introduction to the statistics software SPSS

Methods:
- Lectures
- Practical exercises in SPSS
- E-learning (teaching materials, exercises, datasets)

Assessment and permitted materials

The overall grade consists of two partial performances:
- Homework (50 Points)
- Final exam (50 Points)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

- 75 % presence
- Submission of homework
- Positive completion of the final exam
- Achieving at least 55 out of 100 points
