Aims, contents and method of the course
The lecture gives an overview of communication theories and communication models, studies on sport as a communication phenomenon, as well as of communication problems in sport. In this context, basic terms and concepts are explained and the topic areas of coach-athlete communication, communication among athletes, communication in sport clubs, communication between athletes and spectators, communication among spectators, as well as sport and mass communication are dealt with.
Assessment and permitted materials
Written exam, online, open book exam, 3 essay questions with 10 achievable points each. When answering the questions, the students should demonstrate that they are able to deal with the terms and concepts presented in the lecture in a competent manner and argue independently.
It shall be pointed out to the students that, if their positive grade had evidently been obtained by fraud (e. g., copying, plagiarism, use of unauthorized auxiliary materials, forgery, ghostwriting, etc.), the entire course will be classified as cheated and the attempt to take the examination will be counted (entry in U:SPACE: X = not assessed).
