    Aims, contents and method of the course

    Goals:
    Students
    - know the basic mechanical laws of human movements
    - understand the structure and functionality of human locomotor system under biomechanical point of view
    - can describe the basics of biomechanical measurement and analysis methods and their application using given examples

    Content:
    - Introduction: Definitions and fields of application
    - Structure and function of the human locomotor system
    - Mechanical principles (kinematics, dynamics, ...)
    - Methods in biomechanics
    - Biomechanical principles
    - Selected current application examples

    Methods:
    Theoretical inputs and discussion

    Assessment and permitted materials

    Written examination
    1st exam at the end of term, 3 more in winter term

    Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

    >= 50 % = 4
    >= 62,5 % = 3
    >= 75 % = 2
    >= 87,5 % = 1
