Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
- Written exam on the course content as well as on the literature stated belowExam dates:
- Last unit of the course, one week before the start of the winter semester, one week before the start of Christmas holidays, one week before the spring semester
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
- The students shall get a basic overview about the historical development and the current state of discussion within the field of sport pedagogy. The focus will be on scientific theory, determination of subject-matter, the system as well as basic terms and key topics of sport pedagogy.The students shall develop the following knowledge and skills:
- Knowledge about development, subject-matter, basic terms and key topics of sport pedagogy
- Ability to critical reflect and to examine closely values and norms concerning school related and non-school related gym classes with children, adolescents and adults
- Ability of networked thinking in order to link to and distinguish sport pedagogic knowledge from knowledge obtained from other sport scientific disciplines
Examination topics
- Focus on key questions in order to make key topics more transparent
- Both lecture and discussion with students to ensure critical reflection
- Independent study of literature
