Aims, contents and method of the course

Objectives: Teaching skills in statistical data processing and data-oriented Office user programs

Contents: Teaching skills and theoretical foundations in MS-Excel, MS-Access and SPSS

Methods: Theoretical demonstration, practical exercises and solving tasks

Assessment and permitted materials

Solving practical tasks during the attendance times and in home work as well as in a final test in the programs MS-Excel, MS-Access and SPSS.

The test takes place on the computer and involves solving tasks in the above-mentioned programs.
Your own documents and internet research are permitted as aids.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimum requirement: Achievement of at least 50 points out of a total of 100 possible points. The distribution of points is as follows:
MS Excel tasks: 30 points
MS Access tasks: 15 points
SPSS tasks: 25 points
Test: 30 points

Assessment scale:
Very good (1): 100-93 points
Good (2): 92-82 points
Satisfactory (3): 81-66 points
Sufficient (4): 65-50 points
Not sufficient (5): 49-0 points.
