Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Getting to know, working on, presenting and testing aspects of health advancement as well as concepts of health sports. Here, the main focus will be on strengthening psychosocial as well as physical health ressources. Although not the focus of this particular course, the tackling of health issues will also be discussed. The final selection of topics and exercise contents will be defined together with the students, at the beginning of term.

Assessment and permitted materials

- Mandatory attendance- Ongoing examination of students‘ demonstrational and instructional capabilities- Conceptualisation and execution of a sports-scientific intervention, based on pre-defined criteria- Detailled written account of an exercise unit, based on pre-defined criteria

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

- to educate students on general health-oriented principles of movement and sports- to instruct students on impact, advantages and risks of physical activities in health sports- to enable students to create their own health-advancing movement and sports programmes, in various settings and with different target groups (the focus here being on the strengthening of psychosocial health ressources)

Examination topics

- Carrying out and reflecting movement and training sequences, based on topical health-oriented fundamentals- Individual as well as group assignments on course topics- Instructions and guidance to an independent and self-responsible conception of health advancing movement, games, and sports
