Aims, contents and method of the course

Course Content:
Designed to develop a solid understanding in the instruction of fitness exercises and sport activities for various participant groups so as to maximize health benefits.

Assessment and permitted materials

Grading:
Active participation; evaluation of course portfolio comprising written work, oral participation and course performance (practical teaching exercise, lesson plan design, fedback reports, written reflections, ...)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Course Objectives:
To develop the skills to attain specific educational aims through sport and fitness activities geared towards various paricipant groups.

Examination topics

Methodology:
This course builds on previously acquired knowledge in fitness and sports and focuses on its practical implementation. Students will be instructed in setting up and carrying out certain sport and workout activities for various target groups. Feedback, discussion rounds and written refelction guide students in furthering their understanding of course design and instruction and help them develop the skills needed to set up and conduct fitness/sports activities on their own.
