Aims, contents and method of the course

• Gaining experience in conducting training sessions
• Reflecting and evaluating one's own actions as a coach
• Professional decision-making and adapting training to personal needs
• Creating and managing training processes for personal coaching according to current evidence and adapted to the individual needs of the clients
• Gaining experience in coaching conversations on health-related related topics
• Knowledge of the role of personal trainers in the context of the Austrian health care system and of professional regulations.
• Being able to describe and apply a client-centered coaching process

Assessment and permitted materials

Die gesamte Leistungserbringung durch Studierende hat bei prüfungsimmanenten Lehrveranstaltungen des Wintersemesters bis spätestens am folgenden 30. April, bei prüfungsimmanenten Lehrveranstaltungen des Sommersemesters bis spätestens am folgenden 30. September zu erfolgen. Studierende, die sich nicht von der ggst. Lehrveranstaltung abgemeldet haben, sind zu beurteilen. Bei negativer Beurteilung ist eine kommissionelle Prüfung unzulässig, der Besuch der Lehrveranstaltung ist zu wiederholen. Rechtsquelle: Satzung der Universität Wien §10 (4, 5, 6).Sie werden ausdrücklich darauf hingewiesen, dass bei Feststellung einer erschlichenen Leistung (z.B.: Abschreiben, Plagiieren, Verwendung unerlaubter Hilfsmittel, Fälschungen, Ghostwriting etc.) die gesamte PI-LV als geschummelt gewertet wird und als Antritt zählt. (Eintrag in U:SPACE: X = nicht beurteilt)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The fulfillment of course requirements must be completed by the following April 30th at the latest for courses that are subject to examinations in the winter term, and by the following September 30th at the latest for courses that are subject to examinations in the summer term. Students who have not deregistered from the course in question are to be assessed. In the case of a negative assessment, a board examination is not permitted and the course must be repeated. Legal source: Statutes of the University of Vienna §10 (4, 5, 6).

You are expressly informed that if you are found to have cheated (e.g.: Copying, plagiarizing, use of unauthorized aids, forgery, ghostwriting, etc.) the entire PI-LV will be considered cheated and will count as a citation. (Entry in U:SPACE: X = not assessed).

Examination topics

- Attendance of 80% must be fulfilled.
- Subareas 1-5 must be at least partially fulfilled ( >0 points), or the attempt of fulfillment must be documented.
- Subarea 6 may create additional points
- If requirements cannot be met for individual reasons, it is up to the student to seek consultation with the course instructor at the earliest possible time. In this way, a joint solution can be sought.
- Due to the dense program and to ensure a good learning atmosphere, please come on time!
- There is a clear zero tolerance for plagiarism for self-study assignments (SSA) and reflection papers. Please adhere to citation rules when appropriate!
