Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The research seminar is open to participants interested in behavioral science, both within marketing and beyond. Each meeting will focus on contemporary topics, with discussions designed to enhance participants’ critical reading and analytical skills. The seminar is cross-disciplinary and aims to achieve multiple goals:

• Develop a deep understanding of current trends and theories in behavioral research.
• Enhance critical thinking and analytical skills through rigorous evaluation of research methodologies and findings.
• Foster the ability to synthesize and integrate insights from diverse research sources.
• Encourage the application of theoretical concepts to real-world phenomena.
• Identify opportunities for improving current research

Assessment and permitted materials

Participants will be usually assigned to seminal and contemporary readings from various high-impact journals (one short reading/paper per session). The readings will cover both methodological topics and a variety of substantive areas, including marketing, management, psychology, economics, and technology, with a particular focus on new developments in the field.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Active participation in seminar discussions.
