Aims, contents and method of the course

Aims: Students are confronted with frontier research in economics.
Contents: All areas of economics.
Methods: External speakers present their recent research articles. The audience discusses with the speaker. Students are required to participate in these discussions and summarize two of the presentations/discussions.

Assessment and permitted materials

There will be a pass/fail decision. The decision will be based on regular attendance, on the participation in the discussions, and on the summaries of the presentations/discussions.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

For successfully passing the course, at most two meetings can be missed. Students have to summarize and critically evaluate two of the presentations in writing.
