Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Aims: Students are confronted with frontier research in economics.
Contents: All areas of economics.
Methods: External speakers present their recent research articles. The audience discusses with the speaker. Students are required to participate in these discussions. For each seminar students have to submit on the same day of the seminar two questions in writing that could be asked. Moreover, a brief research projects (2-4 pages) should be submitted for two of the seminars within 2 weeks of the presentation.

Assessment and permitted materials

There will be a grade. The grade will be based on 40% for the two research proposals, 30% submitted questions and 30% live participation.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

For successfully passing the course, at most two meetings can be missed.
