Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Various optimization problems can be thought of
as finding zeros of sums of maximally monotone
operators through associated fixed point algorithms.

In this course, I will focus on some recent topics on
the Douglas-Rachford and related fixed-point algorithms,
also with an emphasis on the case when the original problem
admits no solution. Some basic knowledge in convex analysis
functional analysis in Hilbert space will be helpful.
