Aims, contents and method of the course

The papers discussed in this course address the question whether trading in secondary financial markets is just a sideshow or whether (and how) it can affect real economic activity. The goal of the course is (i) to give you an overview of the existing literature and (ii) to provide you with the technical tools needed to do research in this field.
