Aims, contents and method of the course
The participants shall be supported in realising their dissertation projects in social, political and cultural sciences. The seminar is planned as a workshop. In the center of the workshop, questions of how to plan and run research projects with qualitative methods (research questions, design, sampling, field access. The workshop is oriented on the stages of the qualitative research process. A particular focus will be on combining several qualitative methods or of qualitative and quantitative approaches (triangulation). In addition to my inputs, the participants questions concerning their projects will be in the focus based on presentations of concrete plannings about the state of affairs in their own dissertations and empirical materials from their ongoing projects.
