Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This colloquium is destined to doctoral students who pursue a qualitative research project in the area of health and medicine. We will discuss the particular ethical, institutional, epistemological and methodological challenges that research in the domain of healthcare, disease, medical research, the body etc. entails, and thereby also advance the writing-up of the PhD thesis. This colloquium is open to doctoral students in all stages of their PhD research. It aims to further joint reflection, peer support and exchange across cohorts and disciplines in the domain of health research broadly understood.
Assessment and permitted materials
-Text readings, active participation in class discussions, peer reviews (30%)
- written contributions related to PhD reserach (70%)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Thorough text readings, active and continuous participation in class discussions, peer review, as well as the punctual submission of written work are prerequisites for a positive completion of the course. All individual works must be completed for a passing grade.Grading scale:
91-100 points = 1 (very good)
81-90 points = 2 (good)
71-80 points = 3 (satisfactory)
61-70 points = 4 (sufficient)
0-60 points = 5 (not sufficient)
91-100 points = 1 (very good)
81-90 points = 2 (good)
71-80 points = 3 (satisfactory)
