Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The colloqium is open to students whose thesis fall within the urban and migrations studies, preferably at the intersection of these areas. The participating students are expected to present and discuss a chapter of their thesis or a paper based on their thesis in class. It aims to deal with such studies which go beyond taking the urban simply as the background of their study, but adress the location of migrants and the city-making processes as being mutually constitutive. Rather than migrant integration studies, studies focusing on migrants and/or refugees in policy making processes, in cultural industries and in housing are desired.
