Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Social and political debates about climate change and other crisis phenomena have increased the interest in a more systematic understanding of the ecological crisis and its links to other crisis dimensions. The heterogeneous social scientific paradigm of Global Political Ecology promises to shed light on the different aspects of the crisis. The seminar creates a space to discuss general approaches and recent developments in the field and focuses on specific debates, e.g. those on a green economy, socio-ecological transformation and resilience. Participants should already have some knowledge about (Global) Environmental Politics / Governance and/or Global Political Ecology. The seminar takes place in cooperation with colleages from Kassel University, Free University Berlin and the Center for Environemntal Research in Leipzig.
