How are institutional and social dimensions of media governance combined in research designs and what are the considerations the researcher is called to address? What is the role of the researcher as a research tool and as a public intellectual? What are the standards research should follow in accordance to its social responsibility?

Students will work through epistemological papers in order to provide an account of their research design of their own PhD research projects or short projects to be discussed with the tutor.
