Aims, contents and method of the course

The course will cover the following topics: (1) Democracy and the chain of delegation, (2) Parliamentary democracy and other democratic regime types, (3) Coalition bargaining in parliamentary democracies, (4) Minority governments and other atypical cabinet types, and (5) Powersharing, democracy, and representation.

The public lecture on Thursday, March 17, at 17:00 will be on the topic of "Can powersharing help stabilize democracy?" The paper on which it will be built is co-authored by Karre Strom with Benjamin Graham and Michael Miller.
