Within the framework of the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Historical and Cultural Studies, women's and gender history is integrated as a research cluster. (https://shcs.univie.ac.at/schwerpunkte/frauen-und-geschlechtergeschichte/) The course serves as a colloquium of the Women's and Gender History Cluster of the Doctoral School. As a place for academic exchange, it is open to all doctoral students of the Faculty of Historical and Cultural Studies whose dissertation projects focus on women's and gender history.
The aim of the course is to discuss questions, perspectives, research problems and methodological-theoretical concepts of women's and gender history in the context of the latest international research literature, based on the dissertation projects of the participating colleagues. The exchange of practical questions of the research process as well as discussions about the latest theoretical perspectives should shape the joint work.
