The cases will be retrieved from the FWF/SFB special research realm "Visions of Community", to compare spiritual communities, urban contexts, as well as tribal and ethnic conglomerates across Central Europe, southwest Arabia, and central Tibet.
The respective interpretation of relevant case materials will be brought into dialogue with comparative methodologies and guiding research questions and epistemologies.
