Aims, contents and method of the course

The course has a practical and a methodological focus and should enhance your own doctoral project: 1. How to write a thesis? (formalities, fellowships, data collection & management, self-organisation, presentation, publication strategies, perspectives); 2. Placing your thesis in your research field (key texts and methods, presentation of your topic, discussions). At the beginning of the semester the course might be adapted to the needs of the students.

Assessment and permitted materials

Participation in class room discussions and in the scholarly life of the University
Presentation of your doctoral project or a key text of your planned thesis in the framework of a little workshop organised by the students in January 2021
Keeping a research diary during the semester
