This is an interactive seminar-type course for students embarking on, or already working on their 'Dissertation' (PhD thesis) in the area of English linguistics, broadly conceived. Since it is the only course specifically for PhD students doing research in English linguistics, students working under the supervision of any staff members of the 'linguistics side' in the English Department are invited to attend.Although the course has been set up especially for research students in the new PhD programme, all doctoral students in English linguistics are welcome, also those registered in the 'old' programme.
