Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The focus of the seminar lies on the presentation of your Ph.D. works, to discuss your texts with the group. Thereby we will train both, your rhetorical and your argumentative skills. If you are in the process of writing a Ph.D. proposal or a text for a presentation at a conference, you are also free to discuss it with the group.

Assessment and permitted materials

Regular attendance of the doctoral seminar. Oral and written presentation of your works or presentation of a text, relevant for your thesis.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Overal score: Presence and engagment in the seminar (30 %), oral presentation (35%), written text (35%)

Examination topics

Interpretation and discussusion of your Ph.D. work. Handout (2 pages) and the study of the texts provided on Moodle is obligatory for all participatns of the seminar
