Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The seminar series aims at imparting the current progress in reasearch related to mineralogy, crystallography and materials science (the latter with focus at geomaterials). Contributions to current research are presented in the form of lectures that are followed by detailed discussions with the speaker(s). The seminar series comprises presentations of in-house research as well as by external colleagues. The scientific focus lies on the progress in modern mineral physics research, and research addressing structure-property relationships of mineralogoically or technically important minerals.
Assessment and permitted materials
frequent attendance with active participation in scientific discussions; including an own presentation of a scientific topic (including subsequent discussion with the audience).
