Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The first part of the seminar will be an introduction on how to make a successful scientific presentation. The second part includes seminars on hot topics in Alpine Geology. The students will get knowledge of new research results and recent developments in Alpine geology and surrounding areas. Students will have access to recent literature, write abstracts for getting deeper insights, and will give short lectures on research topics, applying the skills they have obtained in the introduction of this course. Introductory lectures will be given, followed by seminar group discussions including guest lecturers from outside the university.
Assessment: Presence during the lectures; Preparation and presentation of seminar themes.
