Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Aims : acquisition of analytical and numerical methods of nonlinear dynamics

Content :

- influence of non-gravitational effects on the motion of celestial bodies (interaction with disks, magnetic fields, stellar radiation);

- mappings as a prototype model for dynamical systems, role of resonances, Farey-tree, stickiness phenomenon;

- computer assisted perturbation theory and numerical methods in Astronomy using CAS (Mathematica)

Assessment and permitted materials

Oral exam;
submission of written examples
