Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This class will be split up into two main parts: In the first part basics concerning the publishing process will be presented and clarified and discussed, while in the second part the focus will be on working on real drafts submitted by the participants. These will be sent out to all participants who should take over the position of a reviewer. Articles then will be discussed in the next class in order to clarify critical points of the manuscript.
Assessment and permitted materials
Regular attendance and active commitment in the process of discussing presented basics and in the review process of manuscripts is essential.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
This class is conceptualized specifically for pre-doc students in the cumulative dissertation mode in order to support for submitting articles to international peer-reviewed journals.
Examination topics
Basics concerning the background of publishing scientific articles will be held by means of power-point presentations followed by discussions of the plenum. Reviewing drafts will be done by all participants guided by the head of class.
