Aims, contents and method of the course

The course will discuss the implications of digitalization and the use of Artificial intelligence on language and teaching languages.
Starting from an analysis of the structure of natural languages and the process of communication the course discusses the changes implied by digitalization and Artificial Intelligence.
Main emphasis is a critical analysis of the implications of digitalization and Artificial Intelligence for teaching (content, organization, teaching materials)
There will be introductory presentations by the lecturers. Students present specific topics of the use of digitalization and the opportunities and threats of Artificial Intelligence in teaching.

Assessment and permitted materials

Presentation of one topic; participation in the discussion.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Material for presentation; presentation; active participation of the lectures in discussions.

Examination topics

Presentations, literature will be announced in the lecture.
