Aims, contents and method of the course

Analyzing and reflecting Ukrainian press materials of intermadiate level and discussions; increasing and training grammatical knowledge and communication skills; further developing vocabulary; usage of idioms; translation into German and partly into Ukrainian, Home reading

Assessment and permitted materials

Written and oral ability checks; continuous active participation in the course, reporting on home reading material

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Ability to verbally cope with standard situations and to talk about the well known topics and to write simple texts on personal interests, experience and life events. Understanding of the standard press articles and capability to reproduce themy with own words, represent the story of the favorite books or films. Systematic knowledge of grammar, morphology and syntax of the Ukrainian language.

Examination topics

Preparation of daily news in Ukrainian; reflecting press materials during the discussions with comments; repeating daily vocabulary and training the new one while creating dialogs in different situations; presenting content of books/ films orally or in the written form; providing own examples to the newly learned grammar etc.
