Aims, contents and method of the course

Development of the language competences using its expressive tools; work with the press articles on social topics; training through translations of sophisticated texts at the appropriate level.
Preparation of daily news in Ukrainian incl. own analysis; reflecting press materials during the discussions with comments; training new vocabulary while creating dialogs in different situations; presenting content of books/ films orally or in the written form; providing own examples to the newly leaned grammar, writing own texts on the discussed topics etc.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written and oral checks, homework, continuous active participation in the learning process, presentation of the chosen topic or presenting a certain role during the final discussion on selected topic (as prefered by the students).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Further development of the language competences incl. stylistic and scientific Levels; Homeworks regularly done, active participation.

Examination topics

New grammar topics and repetitions, new vocabulary, themes selected for the final discussion or presentation

Reading list

Selected texts, copies, video, grammar and other materials for e-learning in Moodle.
