Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Within this course, lyric poetry from various epochs and contexts such as from related newer genres like spoken word or rap will be presented and analysed together. The aim is to develop abilities in analysing formal aspects, relevant for these genres, like specific rhetorical devices and sound structures. We will lay a focus on specific constellations of a speaker, who directly approaches his addressee or a public, and on various effects that can be produced by this. After an introduction to several thematic blocks we will choose one of them to prepare a radio feature. Small groups of students will produce short audio sequences. Technical information will be given in the beginning, so that prior knowledge is not required.Teaching language is German. Depending on the language level of the participants, primary sources will be read in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian or bilingually.
