Aims, contents and method of the course
survey of the leading authors of Romanticism in Polish, Slovak and Chekh literature; common features within the frame o European Romanticism; special developements according to national traditions
Assessment and permitted materials
presence at all the sessions, presentation based on hand-out, final paper
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
knowledge of the leading authors and their main works in the Western Slavic Romanticism
Examination topics
introduction: close-reading of selected texts; presentations by the participants, discussion
