Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Collections of Russian, Ukrainian and Polish folklore show the importance of these sources for the literature of the Romantic age in these countries, as well as for national identity. Interactions between the different collections show the consciousness of a common slavic identity.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Knowledge of different collections, their aims and genres, understanding of stylistic and linguistic features

Examination topics

Introduction by the teacher, individual analytic work on texts in Russian, Ukrainian or Polish, written paper
